Job Description:This role requires a strong understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders in the elderly population. You will evaluate and assess residents' communication and swallowing needs and develop individualized treatment plans to address these deficits. Additionally, you will provide direct therapy services, including individual and group sessions, to improve speech, language, and swallowing functions.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate and assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in residents of SNFs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication and swallowing deficits.
- Provide direct therapy services, including individual and group sessions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting.
