Position Summary:
The Surgical Services Manager is responsible for guiding the perioperative team, emphasizing patient safety while efficiently overseeing departmental operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Excellence
Identifies actual and potential issues impacting service delivery and implements effective solutions with clear communication.
Engages actively in departmental and hospital-wide committees, ensuring ongoing communication with represented groups.
Team Leadership
Provides coaching and constructive feedback to team members; facilitates individual development plans and evaluates job performance.
Adheres to all Human Resource policies and effectively communicates relevant information to staff.
Cultivates strong relationships and networks to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
Quality Assurance
Upholds care standards for surgical services and develops processes to monitor and ensure compliance.
Designs, implements, and assesses a continuous surgical services program that guarantees quality patient care aligned with the organization's mission.
Oversees adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and hospital policies, ensuring safety for patients and personnel.
Ensures operational excellence within the department by delivering quality services in line with applicable standards and policies.

Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the relevant state.
- ASN required; BSN preferred, with completion required within three years of employment.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Prior experience in an acute care setting is highly preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to comprehend written instructions and follow verbal directives, along with proficiency in PC skills.
