Automation Technician 1st Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician 1st Shift to join our team at Wayne Farms LLC. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and repair of electrical instrumentation and control systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, test, and repair electrical instrumentation and control systems under minimal supervision.
- Read and interpret repair manuals, diagrams, and schematics to ensure safe installation and repair.
- Accurately complete required documentation and records in a timely manner.
- Identify and correct or report unsafe conditions, understanding relevant occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Associates degree in Industrial Control Systems or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in repair and installation of varied industrial electrical instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs and computer-based HMIs.
- Knowledge of national electric code, operation, assembly, installation, and diagnosis of industrial instrumentation and control systems.
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hours.
- Sound work ethic, honesty, and moral character.
- Frequently lifts up to 50 lbs.
- Frequently lifts overhead.
- Walks in an outside environment, including inclement weather conditions, on a daily basis, ranging from one to several miles per day.
- Works in an environment with strong, foul odors.
- Frequently uses visual skills to inspect birds, production charts, and scales.
- Must use smelling senses to distinguish irregular odors.
- Frequently enters confined space areas.
- Frequently exposed to heat (incubators are 99.5 degrees Fahrenheit).
- Frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crawling.
