Job Summary:The ICU Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing direct patient care to critically ill patients, including those requiring life-sustaining therapies and interventions. This role requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, IVs, and other treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Monitor and maintain life-sustaining therapies, such as ventilators and feeding tubes.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
- Participate in emergency nursing procedures, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute care ICU setting.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
