We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at AIM World Services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning layouts, installing, and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment, in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer's recommendations.
- Electrical System Design and Installation: Plan and implement electrical system layouts, ensuring compliance with specifications, local electrical codes, and industry standards.
- Wiring and Conduit Installation: Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit, and pull wiring through conduit with assistance from an electrician helper.
- Electrical Apparatus Installation: Connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools, and fasten apparatus in place with screws or bolts using hand and power tools.
- Control and Distribution Systems: Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, and connect power cables and ground leads to equipment and other electrical utilization equipment.
- System Testing and Maintenance: Test continuity of circuits using testing instruments to ensure compatibility and safety of components, and observe functioning of installed equipment/systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
- Equipment Repair and Maintenance: May repair faulty equipment or systems, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance.
- Education: High school diploma / GED equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: Five (5) to eight (8) years related experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: Journeyman or Master license/certificate or equivalent.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent knowledge, skill level, and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions, and ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
