Key Responsibilities- Support providers and nursing staff in delivering timely and quality patient care services
- Assist with rooming patients, managing patient flow, and administering medication
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
- Collect and process patient information, including vital signs and medical history
- Facilitate lab and imaging results, and notify providers of abnormalities
- Perform patient care tasks as delegated by providers or RNs
- Provide patient education and support regarding test preparation, treatment plans, and health results
- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience meeting required principle competencies
- Non-certified applicants with less than six months of Medical Assistant experience must have graduated from an accredited school with a clinical externship
- Preferred qualifications include previous Medical Assistant experience, knowledge of medical terminology, and certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
This is a medium work environment with occasional lifting of up to 32 pounds and frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds.
