Job Title: Special Events Housekeeping

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Housekeeping Specialist to join our team at Castaway Burbank. As a key member of our Special Events team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all event areas are clean and well-maintained before, during, and after events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and stock restrooms, and maintain banquet spaces to the highest standards
  • Stock restrooms and respond to spills during events in a timely and efficient manner
  • Break down tables, put away dirty linen and centerpieces at the end of functions
  • Ensure your surroundings in the function room are properly cleaned, vacuumed, and well-maintained
  • Set up functions, including draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks, and putting out table centerpieces
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the success of our events
  • Wear approved manufacturer-certified slip-resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working
  • Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; 1 year of similar experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and a pleasant, attentive personality
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Understanding of banquet operating systems and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in English

Schedule and Travel Requirements:

  • Schedule may fluctuate based on departmental requirements
  • No travel requirements

Physical Demands:

This role requires the ability to walk and stand for hours at a time, lift and carry up to 50 lbs, and work in a restaurant/special event environment.
