Nurse Practitioner

The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality patient care and promoting a culture of excellence within our healthcare organization.
As a RN Clinical Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care, using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and significant others (as appropriate) using effective communication methods, such as huddles, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching, to set and achieve patient goals.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards, ensuring the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
- Coordinate the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care, promoting a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
- Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by practicing in a fiscally responsible manner, promoting the recruitment and retention of all healthcare team members.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care, including initiating and/or leading activities and promoting an inter/intra-disciplinary process.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses, ensuring a current and future qualified workforce, modeling the professional practice of nursing and creating a healthy work environment.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing, participating in activities such as value analysis to evaluate patient care products.
- Uphold all healthcare system/organizational policies and procedures, clinical competencies, and professional association standards, ensuring goals such as TJC Patient Safety Goals and WellStar Health Systems safety absolutes.
- Participate in data collection, posing relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice, consulting experts and using resources and evidence to address practice questions.
Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing, with a Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise specified.
Required Minimum ExperienceExperience with direct patient care, with additional specialty experience preferred.Required Minimum Skills
Ability to read, write, and speak the English language, with optimal use of technology to support clinical care and basic computer skills.
Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills, with the ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner.
