Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team on the ENT/Plastics Stepdown unit at Cleveland Clinic's Main Campus. This is a dynamic environment where you will work alongside passionate caregivers to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients with complex medical conditions, including head and neck cancer, surgical flaps and grafts, renal failure, diabetes, hypertension, pneumonia, sepsis, and multi-system failure.
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosing and monitoring.
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders, prioritizing timely communication and coordination.
- Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs, providing comprehensive education to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- One year of current acute care RN experience, or military RN experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
About the Role
This is a rotating shift position, working either 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. As a Critical Care Nurse on our ENT/Plastics Stepdown unit, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, caring for patients with diverse medical needs.
