Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NDT UT-A Scan Inspector to join our team at NTS Unitek. As a key member of our inspection team, you will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing inspections using ultrasonic testing techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting Composite Materials: Conduct UT-A scans to detect flaws and defects in composite materials used in aerospace applications.
  • Operating Inspection Equipment: Operate manual and automated inspection equipment to ensure accurate and efficient testing.
  • Maintaining Certification: Maintain current certifications and OJT hours required for the position.
  • Staying Current with Specifications: Stay current with specifications, standards, methodologies, techniques, and core principles related to non-destructive testing.
  • Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Have knowledge of manufacturing processes and ultrasonic inspection of aerospace graphite composite solid laminate and sandwich honeycomb core structures.
  • Computer Skills: Possess strong computer skills and ability to operate inspection equipment.
Additional Requirements
  • Per Diem: Receive a daily per diem of $130.00, not taxed.
  • Travel Reimbursement: Receive reimbursement for round-trip travel to and from NC, including a flat rate of $200.00.
  • Airfare and Car Rental: Receive reimbursement for airfare and car rental expenses.
  • Paid Trips Home: Receive paid trips home every 2 months.
