We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at a correctional facility in Vandalia, IL. As a Corrections RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to inmates, conducting health assessments, and administering medications.
Key Responsibilities- Provide healthcare services to inmates, including conducting health assessments, screenings, and medical evaluations.
- Administer medications, treatments, and vaccinations according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide immediate care to stabilize patients in critical situations.
- Educate inmates about health issues, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications to improve their overall well-being.
- Participate in health promotion and disease prevention programs within the correctional facility.
- Treat inmates for chronic health issues, trauma, infection, and substance abuse.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Collaborate with correctional staff to address security concerns while delivering patient care.
- 2+ years of RN experience; Correctional, Psychiatric, and related nursing experience preferred.
- IL RN License Required.
- Active BLS.
- Clean background check upon hire.
- $2,722.00 per week based on 40 hours.
- Local and Travel pay packages are available.
- Weekly Direct Deposit.
- Benefits Available; Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K.
- Plus, a travel bonus to the assignment.
- 13-week direct contract with a high potential to extend.
