Rush is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at RUSH University Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying and prioritizing patient needs.
- Develop and implement effective care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
- Maintain current BLS certification.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) (New graduates must have acceptance into an accredited school of nursing within 6 months from date of hire).
- Within 1 year from the date of hire, employee must be enrolled in a BSN program.
- RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN).
This role requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift. Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs. and supporting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs.
