Job Title: CT Technologist

Advocate Aurora Health is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to perform radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams. The successful candidate will be responsible for communicating with patients, positioning patients, and selecting exposure factors for various radiologic examinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform basic and intermediate radiographic procedures, including general diagnostic and fluoroscopic exams.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, and confirm patient understanding.
  • Position patients and select exposure factors for various radiologic examinations, ensuring patient safety and radiation protection.
  • Identify patients, label images, and process images to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Assist and communicate with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient care.
  • Prepare and maintain records, including patient and study information, in accordance with regulatory agencies.
  • Perform patient positioning and transporting duties, requiring lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique.
Requirements:
  • Radiographer license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient service skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders frequently throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for the majority of the day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs. over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs. a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to push/pull with 30 lbs. of force and perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs. with a second person present.
