Intensive Care Unit Nurse

HCA MidAmerica Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse ICU to join our team at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, Missouri.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse ICU will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and provide a positive patient experience.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Monitor and report patient status to the healthcare team, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Perform various procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering blood transfusions, and performing ECGs.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Missouri.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.
- 1 year of experience in critical care nursing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient-centered care.
