Overview:
The Nursing Department at St. Catherine University is seeking applications for adjunct instructor roles. These roles are designated for our MSNEL, College for Women, and College for Adults.

At St. Catherine University, nursing faculty play a pivotal role in guiding students to acquire the essential knowledge, technical skills, and professionalism necessary to become compassionate and effective nurses and leaders. Our bachelor's program incorporates holistic nursing theories and modalities, receiving endorsement from the American Holistic Nurses Credentialing Corporation. We provide nursing degrees across all levels and offer a diverse range of courses, including clinical experiences. We are in search of outstanding nurse educators across various learning formats and specializations. Specific areas of expertise within the programs include:

We are looking for nurses to contribute to lab, clinical, and theoretical components of course instruction. Available roles encompass evening, weekend, and weekday opportunities, with most requiring in-person instruction. Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a culture of inclusive excellence through genuine relationships with students as an educator and mentor.
  • Evaluate and monitor student learning outcomes, providing timely and constructive feedback on academic performance.
  • Collaborate with a small faculty team to deliver high-quality instruction.
  • Facilitate content delivery in online, in-person, and/or hybrid formats.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students during clinical placements.
  • Conduct 2-3 on-campus teaching sessions in lab and simulation settings.
  • Instruct at either the undergraduate or graduate degree level for adult learners.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Current and unencumbered registered nurse license in the State of Minnesota.
  • Two years of direct or indirect practice experience in a specialized area.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree in nursing or a related field for teaching in graduate programs.
  • Academic training and teaching experience in nursing education.
  • Experience teaching in both online and in-person formats.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and online meeting platforms.
