Experienced Construction Materials Laboratory Technician/Manager

Western Technologies Inc. is seeking a qualified individual for a senior role in our construction materials laboratory located in Tempe, AZ. This full-time position requires a minimum of five years of experience in laboratory testing related to construction materials.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in both laboratory and field testing of various materials, including concrete, soil, and asphalt concrete. Familiarity with mix design processes in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO, and state regulations is essential. Experience with masonry and asphalt testing procedures is highly regarded. Current laboratory certifications are advantageous, and the ability to obtain additional certifications in concrete and soil testing is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining AMRL, CCRL, and NDOT accreditations.
- Prepare daily reports and document test results accurately.
- Support project managers and engineers with various assignments.
Preferred Certifications:
- American Concrete Institute (ACI):
- Field Testing Technician Level I
- Aggregate Testing Technician Level I & II
- Strength Testing Technician
- Laboratory Testing Technician Level I & II
- Masonry Testing Technician (Field and Laboratory)
- ATTI or DOT Equivalent and/or ICC certifications in:
- Field Testing
- Soils / Aggregate Testing
- Asphalt Concrete Testing
- Masonry Testing
Strong communication and organizational skills, proficiency in computer applications, solid mathematical abilities, and a clean driving record are mandatory for this role.
