Key Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership and operational management of the pharmacy department, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee all pharmacy operations, including medication management, compounding, dispensing, and clinical pharmacy services.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies and procedures.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to improve efficiency, safety, and patient outcomes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and ensure high-quality patient care.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and distribution of medications, ensuring proper inventory management and cost control.
- Financial Management: Participate in the development and monitoring of departmental budgets, including staffing, equipment, and supplies.
- Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in hospital-wide committees and projects.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of pharmacy equipment and technology.
- Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice and healthcare regulations, and ensure the continuous professional development of pharmacy staff.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
- Experience: At least three years of acute care/hospital leadership experience.
- Licensure: Active pharmacy license in the state of Nevada.
