Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Tucson, Arizona. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment.

Location:
Tucson, Arizona

Duration:
This position is ongoing while we seek permanent staff, with coverage required for approximately 10 shifts per month.

Qualifications:
- Board Certification: NNP Certified with relevant experience.
- NRP Certification: Required.

Schedule:
- NNPs will be present in-house 24/7.
- Neonatologists are available from 8 AM to 5 PM and on call during the night.

Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for the NICU and attend high-risk deliveries.
- NNPs may assist in the newborn nursery when they have previously assessed the infant, although the primary responsibility for well-baby care lies with the Neonatologists.

Shift Details:
- Shift times are from 7 AM to 7 AM.
- Annual Births: Approximately 2,000.
- Average Daily Census: 9.5 in the newborn nursery; 10.8 in the NICU.

Clinical Duties:
- Responsibilities include managing deliveries, NICU care, newborn nursery duties, and consultations.
- Familiarity with EMR systems such as Cerner, PremiEHR, and TPN is beneficial.
- NICU Level: II with a capacity of 15 beds.

Licensure:
- Candidates must hold a valid nursing license in Arizona.
- Privileges are typically granted for 60 days, with preference given to candidates with clean professional records.
