Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Retail Baker to join our team at Bakesale Treat Parlor. As a Retail Baker, you will be responsible for creating high-quality baked goods, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Treat Making
  • Prepare and bake a variety of sweet and savory treats, including cookies, cakes, and pastries.
  • Mix and measure ingredients according to recipes and standards.
  • Operate commercial baking equipment, including ovens, mixers, and proofers.
• Customer Service
  • Provide exceptional customer service to guests, including answering questions and making recommendations.
  • Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Store Operations
  • Assist with store setup and closing procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
  • Restock shelves and maintain a clean and organized store environment.
• Teamwork
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
• Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail or food service environment preferred.
• Skills and Qualities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling.
