Shift: TBD

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000

Role Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure effective supervision and administrative support for dispatch operations while executing general dispatch tasks to enhance departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction for the location, managing workflow and task execution.
  • Serve as the first line of supervision for designated dispatch personnel.
  • Oversee and verify the accuracy of data entries in the TMW TruckMate system, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Respond to both emergency and non-emergency requests, coordinating with appropriate units and maintaining communication for information exchange.
  • Assist with all dispatch-related inquiries and operations.
  • Fill in for staff as needed due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and coordination between Dispatch and all transportation needs, including management and customer interactions.
  • Perform additional support functions as directed by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience in coaching and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Capacity to manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and related software.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile and interpret data.
  • Proficient in English grammar and basic mathematical functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of departmental functions and processes.
  • Ability to identify errors and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective working relationships.
  • Capability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.
  • Experience managing a diverse workforce.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. with additional coursework in data processing or a related field.
  • Two to four years of relevant experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Understanding of DOT regulations and vehicle specifications.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Capability to work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Must be able to navigate all areas of a warehouse environment.
  • Comfortable working in a distribution center with varying temperatures.
