The Radiology Credentialing Specialist will oversee the credentialing and privileging procedures for all Radiologists engaged in delivering imaging services for our Healthcare Client Organizations. This role entails managing the initial application process, maintaining precise and current records, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory standards.

The Credentialing Specialist will collaborate closely with our Operations team, physicians, and administrative personnel to facilitate the efficient operation of the credentialing office.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the credentialing process for Radiologists, including initial applications, reappointments, and modifications in privileges
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date records for all Radiologists, encompassing licensure, certifications, and training
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements
  • Coordinate with department heads, physicians, and hospital administration to gather necessary documentation and address any issues or discrepancies
  • Act as a liaison between medical professionals and hospital administration
  • Provide support and guidance to physicians regarding credentialing and privileging prerequisites
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices related to medical staff credentialing and privileging

Qualifications:

  • Experience in hospital-based healthcare administration
  • Previous experience in credentialing, healthcare administration, and medical licensing, including: IMLC, FSMB, CAQH
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other relevant software applications
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission standards related to medical staff credentialing
