Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Clinical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laboratory testing, quality control, phlebotomy, instrument maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role will also serve as a technical resource to Medical Assistants and may assist physicians with medical procedures in the office.
Responsibilities- Perform laboratory testing and quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Conduct phlebotomy procedures to collect blood samples from patients.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide technical support to Medical Assistants and other staff members as needed.
- Assist physicians with medical procedures in the office, as required.
- A.A. or A.S. degree in a related field is required.
- Florida Technician License is required.
- National lab certification is preferred.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting, is required.
- BLS certification is preferred.
As a condition of employment, all new hires will be subject to background, drug, and nicotine screening. Additionally, all new hires will be required to receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption.
