Job Summary

We are seeking an Adjunct Professor of Chemistry to join our team at Oklahoma City Community College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching chemistry courses, including General Chemistry I and II, Organic Chemistry I, and Survey of General, Organic, and Biochemistry.

Responsibilities
  • Teach chemistry courses, including lectures and laboratories
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi and lesson plans
  • Assess student learning outcomes and provide feedback
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Maintain lab safety and enforce departmental safety guidelines
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field with at least 18 graduate hours in chemistry
  • Demonstrated teaching experience and ability to communicate effectively with students
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to teach day, evening, or weekend classes
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field
  • Experience with online course delivery
  • Knowledge of competency-based instructional systems
