Job Summary
The LeadingEdge Personnel is seeking a skilled Compensation Claims Examiner to investigate asset damage and determine coverage for each claim submitted. As a key member of our team, you will evaluate findings, establish reserves, issue payments, negotiate settlements, and document file activities.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with customers, including claimants, witnesses, employees, attorneys, medical professionals, governmental entities, and contractors. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in determining the value and extent of related damages and/or workers compensation injuries by verifying support documentation and reviewing medical bills.

We are offering a competitive salary of $50000 per annum, commensurate with your experience. If you possess a high school Diploma or GED and 1 year of experience investigating, evaluating, reserving, negotiating, and settling claims, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate all relevant facts and assess findings to determine coverage, negligence, and liability issues for each claim.
  • Establish appropriate reserves based on estimated probable costs with proper file documentation.
  • Issue payments in a timely manner to claimants and vendors in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Negotiate claim settlements for monetary recoveries for damages.
  • Document claim file activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare claims narrative report(s) outlining the facts of the case and applying the Texas Tort Claims Act.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, including claimants, witnesses, employees, attorneys, medical professionals, governmental entities, and contractors.
  • Determine the value and extent of related damages and/or workers compensation injuries by verifying support documentation and reviewing medical bills.
