Job Title: Bridge Technical Design Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Technical Design Lead to join our team at VHB. As a key member of our structural practice, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical design of structural engineering projects, including bridge and transportation-related infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical design of structural engineering projects, including bridge and transportation-related infrastructure
  • Project management and task management
  • Prepare proposals and contracts, and participate in project decisions regarding technical approach, costs, and scheduling
  • Direct and mentor team members in the development of design plans, technical oversight, specifications, design calculations, load ratings, cost estimates, reports, and final bid packages
  • Perform quality reviews of team members' work to ensure accuracy and compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements
Requirements:
  • 11-15 years of professional experience in structural bridge design, construction phasing, and complex bridge projects
  • 15+ years of experience in structural bridge design preferred
  • PE license required
  • BS in Civil Engineering required (structural emphasis preferred)
  • Master's degree with structural emphasis a plus
