Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse or Medical Assistant to join our team. As a member of our department, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of patients and families, providing high-quality care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, meeting the physical and psychological needs of patients in accordance with the plan of care and physician's orders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of a current, individualized, goal-oriented plan of care, consulting with other health professionals as needed.
  • Observe, assess, document, and report patient response to treatments and therapies, adjusting priorities of care as needed.
  • Provide a broad range of treatments and therapies, including respiratory treatments, oral suctioning, and tracheostomy care, as well as administering medications and monitoring intravenous infusions.
  • Assist patients and families during admission, orientation, and discharge, providing support and facilitating age-appropriate coping strategies.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a state-accredited program of practical nurse education.
  • Licensure to practice as a Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of North Carolina, with BLS certification.
  • Two years of previous experience as an LPN.
Work Environment

This position is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and requires standard Monday-Friday work hours. Must be able to travel to multiple locations, including two in Chapel Hill, one in Cary, and two in Raleigh.

This position qualifies for a $5,000 incentive.
