Dental Care Provider

At Open Door Health Center, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Dentist to join our team. As a key member of our dental care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to our patients in a professional and patient-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct dental care to patients using established dental procedures and techniques.
- Assess dental condition and needs of patients, including medical history review, x-rays, and dental and perio charting.
- Manage patients during dental procedures, ensuring a professional and courteous experience.
- Conduct dental charting and ensure accurate and timely entry of patient information into the electronic record.
- Develop and implement individualized dental care plans.
- Provide dental education to patients, ensuring they understand their treatment plans.
- Institute emergency measures as needed during treatment.
- Assist in managing the dental office infection control plan to meet OSHA, CDC, and ADA standards.
- Collaborate with other dental team members to ensure efficient daily operations.
- Maintain necessary licensure and CPR certification.
Requirements:
- Board certified, MN licensed dentist with current DEA license.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an understanding of underserved populations.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and make decisive decisions.
Additional Requirements:
As a full-time, exempt employee, you will be required to work outside of the typical workday on occasion to facilitate the organization's business. Travel is required to meetings, events, and to support other clinic locations within the community and across the region. Means of travel and travel expenses will be reimbursed according to ODHC's travel policy.
