This role involves overseeing security operations at a commercial office setting, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
The Security Shift Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Delivering outstanding customer service to all individuals encountered during shifts, including providing assistance with directions and general inquiries.
  • Managing access control for visitors, patrons, and vendors as necessary.
  • Monitoring surveillance systems and conducting regular patrols to prevent theft and ensure safety.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate logs related to individuals and property, including packages.
  • Responding to incidents and emergencies, documenting all relevant information for management review.
  • Performing additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Ability to obtain and retain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including meeting state training requirements.
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
  • Capable of fulfilling the physical demands of the role, which may include lifting over 50 lbs, performing foot patrols, navigating stairs, and working in various weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience in security or customer service roles, with an additional year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Bi-lingual skills are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
