Speech Language Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Family Outreach Center for Understanding Special Needs, Inc. (FOCUS), a unique nonprofit agency providing assessment, evaluation, and treatment for a diverse client population.
About the Position- Develop and implement individualized services designed to engage and involve parents in supporting their child's development through direct therapy, coaching, and resource sharing.
- Collaborate with other therapists to determine the best treatment course for patients.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and appropriate state licensure, or ability to obtain.
- Experience in evaluation and treatment of pediatric delays and disorders preferred.
- CFY candidates considered and encouraged to apply.
- Adhere to FOCUS policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements set by federal law, the State ILP program, and payors.
- Function as an effective team member, communicating and sharing professional knowledge and skills with team members.
- Provide evaluation and assessment for young children who are at risk for or have been identified as having developmental delays.
- Develop interventions and consult with other team members as needed.
- Develop family-centered, parent-driven Individualized Family Support Plans (IFSP) and provide intervention and support services aligned with the goals of the IFSP.
- Support follow-through on goals using strategies that take place within daily activities and routines.
- Provide family-centered verbal and written communication to families and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and up-to-date records for each assigned client.
- Attend team and staff meetings, in-service training, and other similar activities.
