Key Responsibilities:

  • Buffet Management: Set up, maintain, and break down the breakfast buffet, ensuring a high level of presentation and cleanliness.
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional guest service by welcoming and attending to guests in a timely and friendly manner.
  • Food and Beverage Management: Track and record all complimentary and paid breakfast items for hotel guests and walk-ins.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the breakfast and lobby area in a clean and organized condition at all times.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist guests with seating and pouring coffee, cleaning tables, and maintaining the dining and buffet area.
  • Prepare and maintain the dining area and supplies in a guest-ready atmosphere.
  • Prepare foods such as fruit and milk machines or dispensers.
  • Stock coffee, juice, and milk machines or dispensers.
  • Ensure breakfast items are continually replenished and presented in an appealing manner.
  • Set out and arrange cold food items for self-service.
  • Wipe up spills and maintain cleanliness of all appliances and counter space throughout the breakfast shift.
  • Clear and clean tables as they are vacated.
  • Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silverware prior to use.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
