Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Support: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of real estate transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, construction contracts, leases, and corporate formation documents.
  • Loan Documentation: Provide legal advice and support for structuring, negotiating, and closing mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and other financing transactions.
  • Title Reviews: Conduct title reviews, prepare loan documents, and ensure compliance with escrow and title company requirements.
  • Real Estate Acquisitions: Assist with the acquisition and disposition of real estate assets, offering strategic guidance throughout each transaction.
  • Collaboration: Oversee and collaborate with outside counsel on transactions and litigation matters.
  • Internal Support: Support internal legal and business teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
  • Bar Membership: Active member of the California Bar in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal department with a focus on real estate and lending transactions.
  • Skills: Proven expertise in reviewing loan documents, due diligence materials, leases, purchase and sale agreements, and title reports.
  • Communication: Strong ability to analyze complex contracts, propose practical solutions, and exercise sound judgment, even in ambiguous situations.
  • Organizational: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
What We Offer
  • Salary: Salary range: $130,000 – $180,000, based on qualifications and experience.
