We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Instructor to join our Mathematics and Statistics Department at Northwest Missouri State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate mathematics courses, advising students, and participating in service and student support activities.
Key Responsibilities- Teach mathematics and statistics courses at the undergraduate level, utilizing inclusive teaching practices that engage students from diverse backgrounds.
- Advise students in mathematics and statistics, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Participate in service and student support activities, contributing to the development of a collaborative academic environment.
- Work as a team member on teaching and department activities, collaborating with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department chair or other university administrators.
- Master's degree in mathematics, statistics, mathematics education, or a related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours of mathematics coursework.
- Teaching experience in mathematics and/or statistics, including online teaching experience.

Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe Mathematics Instructor will supervise student employees as assigned, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and achieve their goals.
Equipment and MaterialsThe successful candidate will have access to typical classroom and office equipment, including computers, printers, and other technology.
Physical DemandsThe Mathematics Instructor will be required to complete classroom functions and lift up to 20 pounds, as needed.
