Position Overview:
The Assistant Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Unit Nurse Manager and the nursing staff. This position carries 24/7 accountability, focusing on enhancing and maintaining positive patient outcomes, improving patient experiences, facilitating patient flow, engaging staff, and managing operations, finances, and changes. The individual must also retain essential nursing skills relevant to their specialty. In the absence of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager will take full responsibility for the assigned unit.
Shift Details: This role requires evening/night shifts, typically scheduled for four 10-hour shifts each week.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory.
- Preferred: 1 year of formal nursing leadership experience.
- Required: 1-3 years of relevant RN experience in Psychiatric care.
- Must possess a Maryland Registered Nurse License and American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Membership in a Professional Organization is required.
