Job Requirements

We are seeking a skilled Second Cook to join our team at ORD Airport. The ideal candidate will have a culinary degree or cooking certification, or at least 1 year of experience prepping in a high volume institutional catering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand and apply basic cooking techniques
  • Use different cutting techniques
  • Follow superior instructions and use fingers/hands to handle cooking tools and equipment
  • Understand and maintain Food hygiene standards and HACCP Compliance
  • Communicate effectively in English
  • Lift and push 50+ lbs, stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
  • Be flexible and adapt to changing priorities
  • Comply with all work rules and regulations
  • Work assigned schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and overtime when required
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required
Environmental Requirements

The Second Cook will be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise, and will be required to be active, walking, heavy lifting, and pushing 50+ lbs. Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
