We are seeking a skilled Massage Therapist to join our team at St Croix Hospice. As a Massage Therapist, you will provide massage therapy services to patients under the direction of the clinical supervisor or clinical director.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct massage therapy according to the individualized plan of care.
- Assess patients for medical indications and perform assessments to determine the effectiveness of therapy.
- Treat patients to relieve symptoms and provide relaxation and comfort.
- Direct and aid patients through massage therapy interventions to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation, restlessness, sleeplessness, pain, muscle tension, circulation, stiffness, contractures, limited mobility, relaxation, and comfort.
- Utilize interventions such as Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, Energy work, and compressions.
- Bring awareness to the clinical team of appropriateness and/or contraindications for treatment.
- Observe and report patient responses to treatment and changes in patient condition.
- Provide education and awareness to the clinical team regarding therapy treatment.
- Maintain necessary records, including clinical notes, problem charting, and coordination notes.
- Graduate of an accredited massage therapy program with a minimum of 600 hours of training.
- Current licenses or certifications as required by state law.
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
