Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the daily nursing operations within the facility during your assigned shifts.

This oversight must align with current federal, state, and local regulations, as well as directives from the Director of Nursing Services, ensuring that the highest standards of care are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review reports on patient/resident conditions from the previous shift, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet their needs.
  • Conduct physical rounds to assess the quality of care, providing interventions as necessary and engaging with caregivers and residents.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Supervise charge nurses, aides, and other care providers in their duties, including medication administration, nursing care, documentation, and treatment protocols.
  • Monitor and assess to ensure that residents' needs are met and that policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Communicate empathetically with families and residents regarding changes in condition and care concerns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Valid RN registration in the state of practice.
  • Completion of relevant state Board of Nursing requirements.
