Overview

Mercy is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Obstetrics department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and technical support during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist nursing and medical staff in providing patient care and support during surgical procedures
  • Perform a wide range of duties related to patient care, clerical support, and surgical assistance
  • Work cooperatively with other team members to achieve unit goals and maintain a safe and efficient work environment
  • Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks essential to providing care to patients and the success of the unit
  • May assist with operational support tasks, including maintenance of patient records, bed control, and patient registration
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to work safely and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation
