Faculty Position in Psychology

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to join our Psychology Department as a tenure-track faculty member. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching a range of lower-division psychology courses, including General Psychology, Lifespan Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Human Sexuality, Research Methods, Social Psychology, and/or Biopsychology.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching: Create a welcoming and supportive learning environment for diverse students and use evidence-based practices to improve the success of racially, ethnically, linguistically, and socioeconomically diverse students.
- Advising/Coaching/Mentoring: Work with students outside of class, individually or in small groups, to assist them in choosing courses and to help them get connected with campus and community resources.
- Collaboration with Colleagues: Engage in continuous improvement through college-wide assessment processes and participate in department, division, and other College activities.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional learning tied to the position responsibilities, including remaining current in your discipline(s)/field and in evidence-based practices for culturally responsive, inclusive, and anti-racist pedagogies.
- Master's Degree: A Master's degree (or higher) in Psychology or a closely related area, such as Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Counseling, or Behavioral Science, from an institution with regional accreditation or its international equivalent.
- Teaching Experience: Training in and/or experience teaching higher education classes in General Psychology, Lifespan Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Human Sexuality, Social Psychology, Research Methods, and/or Biopsychology.
- Experience Working with Multilingual Learners: Experience working with multilingual learners is highly desirable.
