Software Development Engineer II, JWO Retail Platform Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer II to join our Retail Integration Merchant experience team in the Just Walk Out organization. As an autonomous contributor, you will work independently and with your team to invent, design, and build software that is stable and performant.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop software solutions for retail systems integration, including retail data ingestion, payment processing, compliance, seller fees, taxes, accounting, and self-service tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with Amazon's physical retail technology products.
- Develop and maintain high-quality code, following coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, team planning, and ticket/metric/COE reviews to help the team evolve.
- Focus on operational excellence, constructively identifying problems, and proposing solutions.
- Train new teammates on how to develop, operate, secure, and fit the software into the bigger picture.
The Retail Platform team in Physical Stores Organization is responsible for the retail systems integration that is needed for 3P retailers to use the Just Walk Out (JWO) technology as a service in their physical stores.

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
