Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Engineering Manager to lead our team in ensuring the highest quality standards for Apple's products and services. As a key member of our Find My Team, you will be responsible for directing a team of Test Engineers and Automation Engineers to deliver exceptional quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of test development engineers and partner with multiple engineering teams to develop and support Find My products and features.
  • Quality Engineering: Create innovative ways to automate and expand software testing, compile, analyze, and present test results to drive and constantly improve Apple's product quality.
  • Collaboration: Work with and lead team members in different time zones, including Europe, to ensure seamless collaboration and delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess hands-on knowledge of communication protocols, including Bluetooth and Cellular, and strong understanding of QA methodologies.
  • Release Decision-Making: Drive release decisions, scope work, and drive bug convergence to ensure timely and high-quality product releases.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Coding Skills: Proficiency in C++, Objective C, Python, Java, or related OOD languages.
  • Experience: Proven experience supporting HW, Firmware, Embedded, and daemon-level software QA solutions, with a strong track record of building strong working relationships across large organizations.
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results, with experience creating and bringing to bear qualitative metrics and measurements.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to describe how you have mentored team members to improve their skill-sets and deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering Management: Experience as an Engineering Manager or a Software Quality Manager.
  • Web and Services QE: Experience working with web and services QE, with ability to attract, retain, and grow people to create a self-organized and highly empowered team.
Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $190,700 and $329,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
