Position Overview

The Early Childhood Education Specialist plays a crucial role in designing and executing engaging learning experiences for children across various age groups while ensuring a well-resourced environment. This position is accountable to the Director.

Key Responsibilities

- Cultivates a nurturing atmosphere that fosters child development and growth.
- Develops and administers a curriculum that is developmentally suitable for young learners.
- Maintains accurate documentation and records related to child progress.
- Ensures the safety of children through vigilant supervision.
- Understands and participates in the organization's emergency and safety protocols.
- Pursues ongoing professional development in child development principles.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with colleagues and families.
- Complies with organizational policies and procedures.
- Keeps the classroom environment clean and organized.
- Conducts biannual evaluations of children's skills and progress.
- Adheres to the established dress code.
- Arrives on time and is present as scheduled.
- Demonstrates flexibility in work hours.
- Participates in training sessions and workshops (minimum of 15 hours annually).
- Attends all team meetings and collaborates with staff.
- Engages with parents as needed to discuss child development.
- Reports directly to the Director and Assistant Director.
- Performs additional tasks as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Development is mandatory. Previous experience in a customer service-oriented role and adequate experience in a childcare setting is essential.
