Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist Floater to join our team in the Capital District. As a Pharmacist Floater, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our pharmacy department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medication to patients pursuant to valid prescriptions with the highest attention to accuracy and patient education.
  • Manage the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including inventory management and third-party adjudication.
  • Counsel patients and medical providers regarding medication use, dosage, and potential side effects.
  • Participate in patient-centered services such as immunizations and medication therapy management.
  • Supervise personnel and provide guidance and training to pharmacy interns, technicians, and associates.
  • Use professional judgment to provide exemplary service within the pharmacist's scope of practice.
Requirements
  • Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state of practice.
  • Immunization Certification or agreement to complete.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage others and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Valid Driver's License.
