Industrial Hygiene Specialist

Stantec is seeking a skilled Industrial Hygienist to join our team. As an Industrial Hygienist, you will provide intermediate-level safety and industrial hygiene consulting services for various clients, including industrial and manufacturing companies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide health and safety and industrial hygiene consulting services for a variety of projects and clients.
- Assist and support industrial hygiene staff and projects internationally.
- Conduct field work, including IH assessments and indoor air quality assessments.
- Collect and analyze field data and prepare industrial hygiene monitoring reports.
- Support field studies, such as air and noise monitoring, at various locations.
- Maintain field instruments and records.
- Assist in the development of health and safety-related programs and procedures, training modules.
- Conduct OH&S compliance auditing.
- Support employees to be compliant with Stantec's occupational, health, and safety systems, including the safety program manual and safe work practices, as well as local legislation.
- Assist with project pre-job planning and hazard assessments.
- Conduct EHS field assessments, planned job observations, and worksite inspections.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Strong technical and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities, coupled with an ability to work in a team atmosphere.
- Developing leadership skills and the capability to assess priorities and work independently.
- Experience with federal, state, and local regulations affecting industrial and manufacturing facilities.
- Experience working with field sampling equipment, including associated software.
- Computer proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of software.
- Certified Industrial Hygienist or working towards certification by the Board of Safety Professionals or the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (in comprehensive practice).
- Satisfactory driving record and valid drivers' license.
- A degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant field work experience in an Industrial Hygiene or occupational, health, and safety role.
