About the Role:

Gundersen Health System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Multimodality Technologist to join their Regional Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality Computed Tomography (CT), mammographic, and radiographic exams to aid in medical diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with patients and families to provide individualized care in the provision of Imaging services.
  • Apply radiography and mammography/CT concepts when performing patient exams.
  • Demonstrate accurate knowledge of established protocols and equipment operation when performing exams on patients.
  • Provide high-quality images to radiologists and providers for interpretation.
  • Offer high-quality service to customers in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
  • Observe and follow all departmental radiation, mechanical, and electrical safety policies, prioritizing patient safety.
  • Educate patients regarding exams or procedures.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice.
  • Assume responsibility for providing a quality learning environment for patients, families, students, and coworkers.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding patient and organizational information.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education, striving to learn new technical information.
  • Perform quality control procedures on applicable equipment and evaluate images to meet ACR and MQSA requirements.
  • Adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
  • Interact personally, engage with, and care for patients.
  • Ensure patient safety.

Requirements:

  • Post-high school education in a specialized field.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • One year of clinical experience in a radiology technology program.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered Technologist-Radiography (ARRT) certification.
  • Wisconsin employees must be a Licensed Radiographer with the State of Wisconsin (LICRAD-WI).
  • Iowa employees must have a Permit to Practice from the Iowa Department of Public Health (RADTECH-IA).
