Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to take on the role of a Microbiologist specializing in Environmental Quality Control.
This position plays a crucial role in our Quality Control team, focusing on microbiological assessments within a cutting-edge production facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental and utility monitoring and sampling as a primary responsibility.
- Perform routine and non-routine inspections of media fill samples, including collection and testing of media, final products, and critical utility samples in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Manage the receipt, quarantine, and storage of microbiological media until laboratory release.
- Oversee biohazardous waste management and coordinate its disposal with qualified safety personnel.
- Engage in validation processes and support both commercial and developmental manufacturing activities.
- Review and issue Environmental Notifications based on raw data and validated electronic data acquisition systems.
- Represent the Quality Control department in site meetings regarding specialized areas.
- Assist in testing of solid oral dosage forms, packaging components, raw materials, and sterile products.
- Troubleshoot standard instrumentation and testing methods.
- Support final product release testing activities, including tests for endotoxin, sterility, and particle isolation, as well as raw material testing.
- Contribute to environmental monitoring efforts, including surface viable air, non-viable air, and personnel monitoring.
- Conduct bioburden testing of water and products, as well as viable and non-viable particle assessments and moisture testing of compressed gases and air.
This role is essential for maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety in our production processes.
