We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a Mechanical Engineer - S6G Power Plant, you will play a critical role in the design and development of advanced nuclear propulsion technology.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support for the fluid and mechanical systems of the S6G power plant
- Work closely with the Reactor Plant Contractors Office (RPCO) to solve problems and respond to Naval Messages
- Develop improvements to the reactor plant operating and casualty procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate enterprise-wide resources and meet the needs of the Navy
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Competitive salary range: $62,000 - $94,900 annually
