Job Description

Focus Staff is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a travel nursing position in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team as a travel nurse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Labor and Delivery nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit, including assessing, implementing, and evaluating total nursing care and functions.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing plans of care for patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Manage both emotional and physical patients with compassion and empathy, providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Assess patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility.
  • Strong knowledge of Labor and Delivery nursing procedures and patient safety protocols.
