Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our surgical team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain operating rooms, including setting up and cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures, including communicating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgeons.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including explaining procedures and answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team.
  • Ability to maintain a sterile environment and follow proper infection control protocols.
