Bridge Design Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bridge Design Engineer to join our team at PND Engineers. As a key member of our structural design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing bridge and waterfront/marine structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in determining structural loads and performing structural calculations for bridge and waterfront structures
  • Develop construction drawings in AutoCAD and inspect existing structures to assess their condition
  • Collaborate with other engineers and technicians to perform work in related fields such as site-civil design, surveying, and environmental engineering
  • Develop well-written technical engineering reports in MS Word describing methods of investigation, observations, and recommendations
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis from an ABET-accredited engineering school
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) exam within six months of hire
  • Familiarity with structural analysis software (RISA 3D, SAP, etc.) and AutoCAD experience
  • Proven team player with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and think and perform work independently
  • Strong communication skills - technical writing and oral communication skills necessary to communicate with clients, coworkers, and contractors
