Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Technician to join our team at Truck Collision Services - Gaylord. As a Body Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the repair and maintenance of vehicles, including media blasting, welding, and fiberglass repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general shop duties, including cleaning and maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Wash and prepare vehicles for delivery
  • Media blast and repair damaged body parts
  • Assist other technicians with repairs and maintenance
  • Perform basic disassembly and reassembly tasks
  • Remove and replace damaged body panels and parts
  • Perform shrinking and stretching operations
  • Perform welding tasks on various metals and plastics
  • Repair fiberglass and composite parts using bonding materials
  • Grind, sand, and buff surfaces to achieve a smooth finish
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
  • Background in paint and body repair is a plus
  • Previous experience in bodywork, with a minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience
  • High School or GED equivalent required
  • Certificate from an accredited technical or industrial trade school is preferred
  • ASE, I-Car, or State License certification is preferred
  • Self-starter with proficiency in budgeting time
  • Basic hand tools required
